Representation Summary:

Blackmore village does not fit the guidelines of either BBC or the Government it is a distant village with poor road connections, distant from all local towns/railway stations, the bus service is unsuitable for commuting. Car travel is essential to get anywhere, so more houses more cars/pollution/congestion. Which is contrary to both the BBC and Government aims for reducing unnecessary journeys. Every one of these new dwellings will have a minimum of 2 cars. Also losing 2 large fields to houses mans loss of valuable wildlife habitat.

Further expansion in Blackmore of the size proposed by the release and development of the two fields in Redrose Lane disregards Government aims and BBC own strategic objectives. By directly causing a major addition to the existing traffic and pollution problems currently experienced by the residents of Blackmore.

Blackmore village does not meet any of the strategic points of BBC or Government for development, especially on Green Belt. Poor bus service, inadequate facilities, every household needs 2 cars minimum to be able to get anywhere. Stations and towns are all 20 minutes plus away by car and parking major problem at times.

Blackmore is a remote historic village, has no rail link and poor bus service, and is not suitable for commuting. Use of car is essential. More houses means more cars and more journeys resulting in increased pollution and congestion. to put an extra 140 vehicles onto the village and county roads is dangerous and environmentally unacceptable. Why should Blackmore be taking all these new dwellings.

Blackmore is a small village that is already quiet congested with parked cars, building more houses is only going to add to the congestion. Losing those two fields to houses also means losing the wildlife habitat. Blackmore school is already oversubscribed, adding more houses will then mean our village school will need to grow. Taking the beauty away from it being a village school. Flooding has always been an issue with Blackmore removing two large fields will make the situation worse.

Blackmore is a fairly remote village with minor road connections. A car is essential. With more local traffic Blackmore will become even more congested and far more dangerous. Pollution level will increase which will be very undesirable. The most desirable wildlife will be diminished. Sadly we now only have one shop whereas other local locations have far more shops and other facilities better road links and are closer to transport links and major shopping facilities. With more fields concentrate, Blackmore will be even more subject to flooding. I don't think enough thought has gone into this planning and the subsequent outcome should the development go ahead would be very regrettable.

Have lived in Doddinghurst for 40 years and seen this village ruined by over development, there is no village community it is like living in a town. We go to Blackmore for social events as this has a real village community.

Having read the BBC LDP cannot see how Blackmore development would fit as it does not meet BBC strategy objectives. It is on Green Belt. It will damage habitat. No affordable housing. No local jobs will be created from this development. It will increase flooding in the village. Over 150 plus new cars will have to drive everywhere, commuting, shops, hospital, doctors as Blackmore has very poor public transport.

Representation Summary:

Proposed building of 70 houses is one of worst locations to build to meet BBC strategy aims. It is on Green Belt land. Village is inaccessible. Will be large increase in road traffic, pollution etc which goes against BBC strategy and central Government strategy and against fighting climate change. The only reason Blackmore has been chosen is it was developer led, as village is desirable to developers as they sell houses at a premium. But BBC should not be led by developers, sheer laziness/competence by BBC. Have lived in Doddinghurst over 40 years but it has no village structure as it has been over developed. We go to Blackmore for social events as it still has village community. Don't destroy it.
