Blackmore is a small remote village, with poor lane and road connections. Railway stations at Shenfield and Ingatestone only accessible by very narrow lanes from horse and cart days with no bus service to those main line stations. The bus service to Brentwood Station runs twice in the mornings at 0640 and 0750 and twice in the evenings to Blackmore at 1735 and 1835 thus not suitable for travel to and from work in London. So cars are essential for all aspects of village life more houses means more cars/pollution and congestion which is now very bad in the mornings and evenings especially in the village centre. This housing policy is contrary to BBCs strategic objectives and the Government's aims for reducing unnecessary journeys. Bus to doctors. Losing the two large fields to houses means lists of wildlife habitat which includes some birds on the red species list.

Blackmore is a small remote village that is mainly accessible via village lanes. It is not close to a railway station and had infrequent bus connections. All of this means that car travel in the village is essential. If the developments in Blackmore are allowed to go ahead it will mean more cars, more congestion and pollution. The development would also see the loss of 2 fields which are used by wildlife. All of this is conflicting with the Councils objectives and the Government aim of reducing unnecessary travel.

Blackmore is a small rural community with very little transport which is poor you can't even get to Shenfield Stations for London. So you need a car which means more pollution and could cause congestion. Planning to build on Green Belt (which we as individuals are not able to do) would risk the lives of wildlife like badgers, foxes, voles and hedgehogs.

This small community has very bad transport links which is going to mean more cars, leading to more pollution. The possible proposal of an entrance in Orchard Piece is a decision that should be made by people living there. Like myself, we have lots of young children living here that enjoy the safety of playing our in safety this would be severely compromised by this and is not acceptable at all.

During construction of the houses on the left hand side of Red Rose Lane towards Chelmsford Road, Fingrith Hall Lane from the A414 was used as the main access. The outcome of this was the destruction of the verge and edges of the road and the worsening of the potholes in some places there are drops of more than a foot deep and are still there. If a lorry meets a lorry even now further damage is caused.
At one point of this work being carried out a Co-op lorry almost overturned trying to pass another and caused the road to be closed for several hours.
This problem does not seem to be taken in consideration. This is small village and the building of these properties will undoubtedly cause more traffic problems through the village.

Blackmore is a distant village from towns and stations with poor roads. It does not meet strategic aims of BBC or Government, has poor public transport. Every household has to drive to get anywhere. This means high level of car use, which results in more carbon in the atmosphere, which does not comply with BBC or Government guidelines and Government climate change policy.

Blackmore development does not satisfy BBC strategy requirements for the LDP. For the following reasons:
- On Green Belt land
- No affordable housing
- Creates no local jobs
- All new residents would have to commute by car
- Destroying local wildlife habitat
- Overloads current inadequate village infrastructure

Blackmore village is very remote. It is a long way from towns and railway stations, the bus service is almost non-existent and the lanes are too narrow and dangerous to walk. It is unsuitable for commuting and the car is the only way to travel if you live in Blackmore. More houses would therefore result in more vehicles, congestion and pollution (70 houses would result in approximately 140 more vehicles in the village). This goes against BBC’s objectives and the Government’s aim for reducing unnecessary car journeys.
The loss of 2 large green belt fields to houses would result in the loss of homes for foxes, hedgehogs, voles and badgers, amongst others.

We have a very small congested shop and post office. Blackmore has a large number of visitors by the village green and ponds, a very old church and priory which is said to have been visited by Henry VII, an antique centre, 2 pubs and a tea shop all of which causes chaos and dangerous parking especially round Horsefair Green and Fingrith Hall Road where cars are parked both sides, I have witnessed large vehicles including the library van trying to navigate safely down these areas.
The school is already over subscribed. The doctors surgery extremely busy. Red Rose Lane completely unsuitable for increased traffic.

The issue of housing is not to keep adding to a national problem, its how its managed for the future, downsizing should be incentivised to allow people trapped in 3/4/5 bed houses but cannot buy a 1/2 bed bungalow house. I've checked everytime one comes up for sale within minutes they are sold and developed. Here lies a large contributory factor to the national housing problem. The BBC/LDP have been bullied and running scared because central Government have plucked a number from the hat. To build at any cost.
