Have lived in Doddinghurst for 40 years and seen this village ruined by over development, there is no village community it is like living in a town. We go to Blackmore for social events as this has a real village community.
Having read the BBC LDP cannot see how Blackmore development would fit as it does not meet BBC strategy objectives. It is on Green Belt. It will damage habitat. No affordable housing. No local jobs will be created from this development. It will increase flooding in the village. Over 150 plus new cars will have to drive everywhere, commuting, shops, hospital, doctors as Blackmore has very poor public transport.

Proposed building of 70 houses is one of worst locations to build to meet BBC strategy aims. It is on Green Belt land. Village is inaccessible. Will be large increase in road traffic, pollution etc which goes against BBC strategy and central Government strategy and against fighting climate change. The only reason Blackmore has been chosen is it was developer led, as village is desirable to developers as they sell houses at a premium. But BBC should not be led by developers, sheer laziness/competence by BBC. Have lived in Doddinghurst over 40 years but it has no village structure as it has been over developed. We go to Blackmore for social events as it still has village community. Don't destroy it.

Blackmore is a remote village with poor road connections and is distant from towns/railway stations, bus service is poor and not suitable for commuting. Car travel is essential to get anywhere if you reside in Blackmore, so more houses means more cars/pollution/congestion. Which is contrary to BBC strategic objectives and the government aims for reducing unnecessary journeys. Also losing 2 large fields to houses means loss of wildlife habitat, which contain badgers, foxes, voles, hedgehogs.

As Blackmore does not meet any of BBC strategic objectives. Why was it selected unless it was because it was put forward by developers. Blackmore has poor bus service, poor infrastructure, you need 2 cars per household to commute/shop/hospitals/social calls.

Blackmore is a small village with local small roads feeding it. More housing etc. will continue to clog the roads and make village around the local area more hazardous. Weekends already see an influx of cycling causing mayhem in the local area. more housing will demand more transport etc.

Blackmore does not meet strategic aims of BBC or government, it has poor public transport, is a long distance from towns, and stations. Every household has to have 2 cars unless residents are retired. This means high levels of car use, which does not comply with BBC or government guidelines.
