Representation Summary:

Blackmore is a remote village with very poor bus service, not suitable for commuting. All current residents are totally reliant on cars to get anywhere.
More homes just mean more cars, more pollution, more congestion. 70 houses will mean 140 additional vehicles on village roads.
Significant impact on biodiversity if 2 large Green Belt fields are built on. MM1 and MM2 are unsound and never prepared on BBC Strategic Objectives of LDP for R25 and R26.

Representation Summary:

The allocations in Blackmore village (R25 and R26) do not meet vision and strategic objective because:
- there will be significant negative impact on biodiversity if two high quality Green Belt fields are lost. Rare red list birds including Turtle Dove and Skylark are known to have nested in the area.
- MM1 and MM2 are unsound should R25 and R26 remain in the plan.
- Increase in number of homes in the village will lead to increased traffic and pressure on local amenities.
- Public transport links are insufficient for most peoples needs so most homes rely on their own cars more houses will increase traffic.

Representation Summary:

Blackmore Village is a remote village, the doctors and schools are at capacity, there is no railway station, poor bus service, very few shops, infrastructure cannot sustain additional population and traffic. Flooding will eventually happen and will get worse if the landscape is interfered with. Wildlife will be impacted. Residents' concerns have not been taken into account and have been ignored.

Proposals in Blackmore will increase congestion, bring in more cars, the surrounding lanes do not have footpaths in many cases are too narrow to allow them. Development will not bring extra employment opportunities only more commuters.

Representation Summary:

For the VISION and STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES to be meaningful, sound and effective, they have to be rigorously applied throughout the Plan. The allocations in Blackmore (R25 and R26) fail BBC's own 'tests', in particular:
• Blackmore is the most remote Village in the entire Borough
• Existing (and future) residents are, and will remain, totally dependent on personal motorised means of transport
• An additional 70 homes will likely mean an additional 1,000 plus traffic movements per day (including the increasing frequency of delivery vehicles, for food and other shopping)
• All leading to increased pollution levels
• There will be a significantly negative impact on biodiversity, if two green fields, in the Green Belt, are developed
• MM1 and MM2 are rendered unsound (not effective and not positively prepared), should R25 and R26 remain in the LDP

For the VISION and STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES to be meaningful, sound and effective, they have to be rigorously applied. The allocations in Blackmore (R25 and R26) fail your tests:
• Blackmore is the remotest village in the entire Borough
• Existing (and future) residents are over-dependent on motor vehicles
