Chep Pallets (Peri site) Warley Street - This site is currently a transport depot and the Strategic Growth Options document does not seem to show any different proposed usage, which I support, however some years back the site was suggested to the Council as a possible housing site. A joint meeting of the Great Warley and Little Warley residents was organised by the Great Warley Conservation Society. The proposal was thoroughly discuss and was overwhelmingly rejected in a vote.
I would add the site is unsuitable for housing being too remote from services and facilities, and would necessitate considerable car use, as well as not being in accord with the Council chosen Spatial Strategy. In addition, the sheer size of the site would, if developed, be harmful to the character of Great Warley.
The site has also been mentioned at some stage as a possible Gypsy site to which I wish to register my objection as this would be incompatible with its existing use.

I wish to register my objections to any proposed housing or commercial/industrial development at the following locations in the Strategic Growth Options consultation document:

Chep Pallets Warley Street (Peri Site) is also listed in the Strategic Growth Options document, and although we are not aware that it has been suggested to the Council as a possible housing site within the last few years, some years back this possibility was discussed at a joint meeting of Great Warley and Little Warley residents called the GWCS Committee, and the proposal was overwhelmingly defeated in the vote taken at the end of that meeting.
We would like to formally object with this current consultation to this site ever being considered for housing, since its remoteness make it unsustainable, and the size of any development would be harmful to the existing character of Great Warley.
We believe the Chep site has also been suggested at some stage as a Gypsy Traveller site. We would like to register our objection to this possibility since we think such use would be incompatible with the current use as a logistics distribution site.

sevices in Brentwood or beyond. Previously rejected under SHLAA exercise; discounted as does not meet Spatial Strategy to protect green-belt due to remote location.
