Car travel is essential to get anywhere if you reside in Blackmore. Blackmore is already overcrowded with cars causing congestion at the small village shop. More houses means more car/pollution/congestion, which is contrary to BBC strategic objectives and the government aims for reducing unnecessary journeys. The local roads are narrow and most only support one vehicle at a time. We have a poor bus service and our village is remote from towns and railway stations.
