Over the years lots of green fields sites have been built on and we need to preserve as much as we can for future generations. Also the allotments should be kept as many people on lower incomes are able to help out the family budget on the vegetables that they can grow. My late husband had an allotment at the Ongar Road site for over 30 years. We had a very low income and we were able to grow all our own fruit and vegetables.
