The land proposed for development is a short stretch of rolling country side between the heavily developed urban areas of Shenfield, Hutton, Billericay and the villages of Ingrave and Herongate. It is an area of farmland with beautiful views, many footpaths, ancient woodlands, streams, wildlife, of historical importance and recreational pursuits.
For the population of the five urban areas it provides an irreplaceable setting of tranquility and beauty which adds immeasurably to the quality of life in this part of Essex.
It would be tragic to despoil this wonderful countryside.
