If there is a need for any building within the North of the Borough, it would be much preferable to use Brownfield sites within the Greenbelt land rather than Green sites within Greenbelt land, in order to try to maintain the character of the area. However, there are many sites within the boundaries of existing town / urban areas in the A12 corridor or A127 corridor that that should be developed / utilised first.
