By expanding at the edges of the community, there is a reduction in the rural nature of the area without any reasonable safeguards to prevent it occurring again. I believe that currently it is important to maintain the Green Belt around London so that there can be more focused developments of Brown field sites within the M25 rather than assuming that additional London population should commute in.
Focusing on potential infilling, utilising large plots more effectively and the significant number of brown field sites identified within the area should enable a planned approach to development within this area
