Representation Summary:

Of the A127 Corridor Housing Site Options I strongly think the Dunton Garden Suburb is the best location for developing, and a logical extension of the more built up area of Laindon/Langdon Hills.
In contrast I object to any scale of mixed use development at West Horndon as it will reduce the quality of life for all existing residents, there is insufficient infrastructure and services, and for various other reasons outlined in my response to the original 2013 Preferred Options Consultation regarding this site.

I have marked this as a Comment as I Support one option and Object to the other.
Of the A127 Corridor Housing Site Options I strongly think the Dunton Garden Suburb is the best location for developing, and a logical extension of the more built up area of Laindon/Langdon Hills. The proviso here being that there is a clear greenbelt zone of fields east of the A128, perhaps the water course acting as a natural barrier to development, thus clearly separating West Horndon from Dunton Garden Suburb. This site would meet the aims of both Brentwood and Basildon councils e.g. win-win.
In contrast I object to any scale of mixed use development at West Horndon as it will reduce the quality of life for all existing residents, there is insufficient infrastructure and services, and for various other reasons outlined in my response to the original 2013 Preferred Options Consultation regarding this site.
In particular I object to any proposal to plan gypsy & traveller sites within the village of West Horndon boundaries and the local plan boundary, for reasons already detailed in the response to the original 2013 Preferred Options Consultation (crime, social disorder and tensions, community cohesion, rubbish etc...etc....).
