Blackmore is a small but sustainable village served by a network of rural roads. (no cycle lanes, no pavements outside the inner village area). No rail access and limited bus service.
Development of this size (70 houses) has not been identified or meets local residents needs. It will generate additional vehicle movement, congestion and pollution. Making an access via Orchard Piece is totally inappropriate as this small estate already experiences parking and access problems. Any additional traffic will cause chaos and be a safety hazard. All this is opposite to the BBC owns aims and contra to Government guidelines to reduce unnecessary travel.
