Blackmore is a remote village. It has poor connections and public transport. Car travel is essential. So more houses mean more cars (national average is 2 per household). So more pollution and congestion. This is contrary to BBC strategic objectives and the Government aims for reducing unnecessary journeys. Even more so after pledges made at the climate change conference this autumn in Scotland by the UK Government.
