During construction of the houses on the left hand side of Red Rose Lane towards Chelmsford Road, Fingrith Hall Lane from the A414 was used as the main access. The outcome of this was the destruction of the verge and edges of the road and the worsening of the potholes in some places there are drops of more than a foot deep and are still there. If a lorry meets a lorry even now further damage is caused.
At one point of this work being carried out a Co-op lorry almost overturned trying to pass another and caused the road to be closed for several hours.
This problem does not seem to be taken in consideration. This is small village and the building of these properties will undoubtedly cause more traffic problems through the village.
