Flooding is a real threat (we already experience periodic flooding - well documented). Building on a natural flood plain which currently provides some protection to the village is both ludicrous and contrary to Government guidelines in releasing greenfield sites for development. Proposals to add a few ponds is an unacceptable approach to this problem.
