Representation Summary:

- None of the proposed access routes via Redrose Lane, Fingrith Hall Lane or Orchard Piece are appropriate in terms or practicality, or safety.
- The Orchard Piece proposal would turn the area from a quiet residential cul-de-sac into a through road, hugely impacting existing residents, and posing unnecessary dangers, particularly to the many young families that live there.

Full text:

Redrose lane and Fingrith Hall Lane are wholly inadequate as access points to the proposed R25 and R26 sites (single track, no pavement, and frequent flooding to list a few reasons) but the suggestion that access to R26 could be achieved via Orchard Piece is beyond comprehension.
Orchard Piece is a quiet residential cul-de-sac and the road is barely wide enough to support the current limited residential traffic, particularly if cars have been parked on the road. The amendment to include Orchard Piece as a potential access route shows a total lack of appreciation of the area, its existing infrastructure, and the well-being of the existing residents. This amendment feels like desperate attempt to address one of the fundamental issues; there is not, and never will be, sufficient access to sites R25 and R26 to make them viable for inclusion in the LDP.
