Proposed number of houses is too high - far more dense and out of keeping with the immediate surroundings. Site access is very restricted and will inevitably lead to considerably more traffic congestion on Priests Lane, which is already heavily over-used. The narrow width of Priests Lane, the single access point, increased traffic and heavier pedestrian usage on a narrow single pavement could well lead to safety issues. Traffic is frequently backed up from the junction of Priests Lane and Middleton Hall Road - sometimes going back to Worrin Road or beyond - with associated high noise and pollution levels.
