This proposed development, which if sanctioned will build right up to the joint border with Basildon Borough, fails to maintain the required gap between the two Boroughs and therefore fails to stop the coalescence between Basildon and Brentwood. I believe this is a stated requirement in the NPPF national Planning Policy Framework.
