This is used each Summer by club members, largely elderly people, for active exercise and to enjoy friendly competitive social afternoons. Do not lose this facility for the sake of 10 homes.
This land is presently used as a playing field for the community hall and is the only playing ground in Blackmore within 2 miles. It has been the home of Tipps Cross Croquet Club for the past 15 - 20 years and is used each Summer by club members, largely elderly people, for active exercise and to enjoy friendly competitive social afternoons. Tipps Cross is the only Croquet club in Brentwood. No alternative venue is suitable or available and if the ground was lost to development the club would certainly close. Tipps Cross Croquet Club has been recognised as beneficial to the local community and has received support and finance from the National Lottery fund. Please do not lose this facility for the benefit of just 10 new dwellings.
