Representation Summary:

Blackmore is a substantial village should be encouraged and be kept alive together with the shops, pubs and other businesses. To ensure this I believe that limited careful development should be allowed, being very careful not to spoil the village. Land bounded by Redrose Lane and Chelmsford Road, Woolard Way and Orchard Piece / Redrose Lane and the field bounded by Chelmsford Road/Spriggs Lane/Elm Court Park and Elm Farm should have also been included in the Plan for development.

Re BRENTWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL - 15 YEAR PLAN. I believe Blackmore, as a substantial village should be encouraged and be kept alive together with the shops, pubs and other businesses. To ensure this I believe that limited careful development should be allowed, being very careful not to spoil the village. Where the council propose development being permitted between Woolard Way, Orchard Piece and Redrose Lane. By the same reason so should land bounded by Redrose Lane and Chelmsford Road, the land in question also being on the edge of the village but similarly having no agricultural use. I believe this land should have been identified along with the 2 pieces of land (Woolard Way and Orchard Piece / Redrose Lane) they all being of same nature and positioned in very similar way in the village. Also for the same reasons as before - the field bounded by Chelmsford Road/Spriggs Lane/Elm Court Park and Elm Farm. This land is very similar to my earlier comments. Furthermore, there are many small areas of land in Blackmore suitable for use for housing. Altogether my ideas I believe would not mean overdevelopment of Blackmore, instead would ensure the village not deteriorating as has happened in so many other villages.
