There is limited parking in Brentwood and loosing car parking space is a problem for local residents that want to utilise the high street, and for the traders businesses. The high street is already clearly under stress with empty shops, making it harder for people to access will make things worse.
I would also point out that the council will loose the parking revenue. The council tax levled would be less than the parking revenues.
