This is a general point about parking provision for new developments.

Just about every new multiple dwelling development appears to provide inadequate parking for the modern lifestyle and car ownership trends. However much public transport is provided - and bus provision within the Borough is relatively poor - households will often own 2 or possible 3 vehicles. Providing insufficient parking will not incentivise people to own fewer vehicles - they're a sign of success in the modern society and they're also getting bigger.

New developments within the Borough tend to be characterised by significant road parking, not only within the development but also on nearby roads.

Parking provision should be revised and be more generous - which could well result in a better quality of environment and less stressful living conditions for fractious neighbours.
