Draft Local Plan

Representation ID: 13635

Received: 23/03/2016

Respondent: Anne Clark

Representation Summary:

You say that Brentwood is lying within an area of serious water stress, where underground water levels are potentially low, so we need MORE green spaces to take in rainfall NOT less!!! Building on current green land will mean even less water reaching the underground water reservoirs!
"Water conservation measures of 110 litres per person per day"?? And you want to bring MORE people into the area?? More people will mean more demands on water and sewage facilities! Have you lost leave of your senses??

Draft Local Plan

Respondent: Croudace Strategic Ltd

Agent: Barton Willmore

Representation Summary:

It is noted within this paragraph that the Code for Sustainable Housing has been withdrawn, however water conservation measures are sought. As per the Written Ministerial Statement in Section 6.0, Local Plans should not set any additional local technical standards or requirements relating to the performance of new dwellings. This requirement should therefore be removed to be 'Consistent with national policy'.
