Blackmore village is low lying from the surrounding land and historically, during extreme torrential rain, the excess run-off of water naturally courses its way cascading through Blackmore Road, The Green and Church Street. Existing drainage and sewers do not cope. It is known. The sump from which sewage is pumped to the treatment site is designed to over flow the excess water/effluent by pipe to the River Wid south of Jericho Priory. The proposed additional housing is likely to overload the drainage/sewer network, unfit for purpose.
