6.9 The only way to "safeguard the green belt" is not to build on it at all!!! You can't say you want to protect it and then build on it! No matter how "small" a bit you want to destroy. An analogy is saying that you want to protect children from harm and then hitting them round the head, just a little bit!!! - You either want to protect it or you don't!
