Consideration will need to be given to alterative car parking provision and the potential for the loss of these car parking area to create either large areas of on-street parking or to discourage people from using the town centre. The former has the potential to unduly impact on the character and appearance of the conservation area, whilst the latter has the potential to harm the viability of listed buildings in commercial use
