The total cost of additional health facilities and expansion of existing facilities to support the growth identified in the strategic locations within the Local Plan based on current formula is approximately £6m. Given the capacity requirement of the existing population for healthcare services, and costs associated with providing infrastructure to meet those needs, it's likely that the costs associated with growth as identified in the Local Plan (£3m) will need to be met in full through planning contributions to ensure sufficient primary care facilities in Brentwood for the Local Plan period to 2034 to which the CIL could be charged.

There is little indication of workable solutions to the likely increased pressure on GP services. There is no discussion of how additional pressure on hospital beds, already significant, is to be dealt with.

The Deal Tree Centre is at capacity with four doctors dealing with 2,500 patients. There is no known NHS provision for an influx of new patients including those from development in Kelvedon Hatch.

Object to the plan as it has no regard to the need for additional hospitals. Local hospitals area already over capacity and S106 contributions may provide for additional health centres but not for hospitals and it is clear that this government is not willing to provide adequate funds for the additional infrastructure that will be required.
