Whilst generally in support of land at The Depot, Warley being allocated for housing, I object in the strongest possible terms to the footprint of The Imperial Youth Band Hall being included, as it is, it the site allocation document. To include this patch in the area offered to developers would be an absolute travesty. The Imperial Youth Band, previously known as Royal British Legion Youth Band and its volunteer leaders have worked really hard over the last 10 years to develop this fantastic facility. Not only is it the home of RBL's older members but it's the home of the Youth Band and has storage for uniforms, helmets and instruments, practise rooms and halls for playing and marching. This is purpose built and I will really fight to keep this fantastic facility for the young people of Brentwood.
I'm please that the Scouts' Eagle Hall has been omitted from the area designated for redevelopment.
